While these medical office administration professionals must possess the same clerical skills required of any office specialist such as computer/technology, communication, reception, organization, they also require a thorough understanding of the complexities unique to the health care industry.
This includes medical ethics, medical law, medical billing and reimbursement, and compliance with federal regulations. In addition, they are often the first person to greet patients and, therefore, must be friendly and helpful. In this role, the medical office administration professional helps build and maintain patient’s trust and royalty.

Externship
Students gain hands-on experience in actual medical settings. After completion, students receive a certificate. Students will be eligible to receive a state license and can then take the PTCB exam.
Program Duration
Days: Total of 420 hours.
Day classes: 25 Hours per week for 12 weeks
